Summers romance
Turned a hopeless romantics nightmare
As the dancing of words lasts whole nights
Into the very morning
And time after time
The words and emotions burn anew
How can such short times feel like the life times we need
To be able to spill everything that each of us
Burns to say almost a silent scream
And yet the words never take a voice
Only ever caught in the back of tongues
And as the time passes we lose that closeness
In which burned so hot and so bright
The space between us seemed to melt
Almost telling us to run for each other
But alas our feet never took flight
Nor words taken to heart
Only whispers which were unheard
And as time elapsed we faded
The fire become that of ash
With only coals burning under the ash
Suffocating and burning out
But yet a flame of the past will burn up
Only to be snuffed out
Our times of romance have ended
Only the gallant stride of ones feet
Is ever heard to come running like was once said
And so I say sorry
For not being able run to you this time
But even hopelessness has a glimmer of hope
And so that hope must be followed
But it’s so hard to follow that path when you
Come calling only ever to turn me away again
I burn and pine for you and I always have
One time or another I would have given everything
And anything to have you say those words
And have you here with me

Staring into the fire
I see eternity in the rippling embers
And yet forever is burning out of control
Always dancing its wild dance
Watching the fire burn across my eyes
The titanic fire burning in the ever blue ocean
The embers seemingly shift from black to red
As it changes so does the eyes which behold
Oceans of knowledge are burning on the surface
Burning higher the flames rear their wicked tongue
And yet the placid ocean takes no heed
For there is knowledge to beheld
Within the dance of eternity
The eyes of the beholder
Are oceans of unknown wisdom
And the embers burning in the retina
Spark a flame that which burns
Across the expanse all
And the flames burn and burn
Till all that remains
Is smoke drifting across oceans of blue
